We hope you’re enjoying planning your next interior project. Please take time to read through our Terms and Conditions – you will find all sorts of useful information to help you with your purchase. By using this website and/or placing an order with Jacqueline Milton you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Orders and Payment:
Orders can be processed directly though this web site. We process card payments securely via a third party payment system called PayPal. All transactions are processed using a secure server. We do not hold any customer card details and we will never pass your details on to anyone.

If you would like to pay by cheque or BACS, please contact us.

We are unable to supply goods on a sale or return basis.

All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.

Changes or cancellations:
Our fabrics are printed to order, so it is not possible to amend or cancel your order once you have received an acknowledgement of your order, except at our sole discretion.

We may vary delivery charges and prices for our goods at any time. Applicable charges and prices are at all times those stated on our website.

Delivery Information:
All our fabrics are printed to order and delivery periods can be variable, however we aim to dispatch orders to Mainland UK delivery addresses within 10-14 working days of receipt of your order.
All goods are offered subject to availability at time of ordering. However, should an item be out of stock there may be short delays in delivery and we will notify you immediately. 

Once your order is ready for dispatch we will contact you using the email supplied.

Orders for over 2 metres of fabric will be on a roll, orders under 2 metres of fabric will be folded.

All fabric orders over 2 metres are dispatched by courier service and will require a signature upon delivery. If you miss your delivery, you should receive a courier card advising you as to how to retrieve your item.

Fabric orders under 2 metres and fabric sample swatches are sent via Royal Mail.

Delivery charges are calculated based on the weight and volume of the order. The delivery charge will be added to your order at the point of check-out.

Jacqueline Milton uses a variety of delivery companies to deliver customer goods, these companies deliver within the normal working hours of 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. It is the customers responsibility to ensure the goods can be received within these timescales. 

Orders outside the UK Mainland:
Overseas orders cannot be processed though this web site. Please email us details of your order, name, home address and contact details and we will supply you with a delivery quote. Quotes are valid for 14 days.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or PayPal after we have raised an invoice.

Please note that delivery charges are made in pounds sterling. There may be local duty and/or taxes payable on goods delivered outside the UK and we are not responsible for paying these charges.

Always check for any damage to packaging upon delivery of your order.

If you receive faulty or damaged goods, please contact us as soon as possible and we will endeavour to resolve any issues as promptly as possible.

We cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery or damage to or loss of goods once the goods have been dispatched and are in possession of the carriers. It is your responsibility to inspect goods on delivery. Any shortage in delivery, or delivery which is not in accordance with your order, or goods lost or damaged in transit must be advised to us in writing to info@jacquelinemilton.co.uk within 3 working days of receipt.

We will investigate and start following up with carriers.

We really hope you are going to love your purchase, but if by chance you are unhappy with your goods, please get in touch and return it, in its original packaging, unused, within 7 days of receipt. If you are returning any goods please retain your  proof of postage as we cannot be responsible for any goods lost in transit without proof of sending. Please make sure you have insurance for your goods on their return journey. Please phone or email if possible if you are returning any items so we know to expect them.

Please note that cut fabric is non-refundable, Please order fabric swatches to make sure you are happy. In the rare event that the fabric is found to be faulty, fabric must be returned to us as the original length and within 14 days of the date of receipt. Please check carefully before handing it over to a third party such as a curtain maker.

We are unable to give refunds for unwanted fabric.

In the event of returns we are only responsible for the sum not exceeding the purchase price of the goods dispatched.

All images, descriptive matter and specifications on our website are a guide only and are given for the sole purpose of giving an approximate idea of the appearance of the product. If you are ordering fabric, please request a sample prior to placing a fabric length order.

Fabric lead times:
Fabrics are printed to order and delivery times can be variable. Our aim is to dispatch orders within 7-14 working days. If we foresee any delays with your order, we’ll keep you informed using the email supplied.

Fabric quantities:
Fabrics on the website are sold by the metre but if you are looking for an exact size, please contact us and we can send you an invoice separately.

Fabric use:
Although Jacqueline Milton may make recommendations on usage, it is your responsibility to ensure that the fabric you are ordering from us is fit for its intended purpose prior to ordering.

We don’t recommend our fabrics for upholstering furniture in daily/regular use or for anything that you would want to machine wash.

Because we use natural linen there will by its nature be some shrinkage when you wash you your fabric.

We recommend that you dry clean our fabric.

Sample request:
We strongly advise that you obtain a sample prior to placing your fabric order and we offer a swatch service to help you make the right selection.

You can order up to 5 free swatches (post and packing will be added).

Our samples are approximately A6 – A4 depending on pattern size. Please note that samples are intended as a representation of colour and texture of fabric and may not show the full design.

Please take time to look at your sample in different parts of the room throughout the day – you will notice the colours change in different lights.

Fabric care:

Our fabrics are suitable for dry cleaning only.

Linen wrinkles easily but you can iron it on a cool linen setting.

Linen and linen blends:
Linen yarn is spun from the long fibers found in the stem of the flax plant. Because it is natural, small slubs and irregularities will sometimes occur in the weave which is part of the natural character and charm of linen. It is not perfect, so please take this into consideration when buying fabric from our website.

Most fabrics will fade after lengthy times of exposure to strong sunlight, some fabric treatments and carbon monoxide. We always recommended that our customers use a suitable lining to try to reduce or prevent fading. However, all natural fabrics are prone to fading and we cannot take responsibility for fabric fading for any reason.

Fabric Colours:
We love to use natural cloths that are usually produced here in the UK. The base cloth used for our fabrics is made from natural fibre. Linen fibres can vary slightly from crop to crop and this can sometimes result in slight shade and weave variations between batches of fabric. Please note that we cannot be liable for shade and weave variations.

Please note that unauthorised use of the Jacqueline Milton logo and images within this website is prohibited unless express permission has been sought, authorised and granted in writing by Jacqueline Milton.

We will happily send out high resolution images for marketing purposes upon request.

Please note that you cannot resell any Jacqueline Milton goods on e-bay or similar websites, by mail order, nor sell to third parties who are not end users.

Legal ownership of any goods ordered remains the property of Jacqueline Milton until full payment has been received.

Limitation of Liability:
All goods supplied by Jacqueline Milton are supplied on the condition that our liability for any fault or defect in the quality, condition, description or fitness for any purpose is to a sum not exceeding the purchase price of the particular goods.

In no event shall Jacqueline Milton be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, including loss of profits, loss of opportunity, reduction in revenue or turnover, injury to reputation or goodwill, or any special or punitive damages or awards.

Law and Jurisdiction:
Each order and the contract originating from it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. The parties unconditionally and irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
