Step into my studio……

There is no average day at Jacqueline Milton HQ but I thought you might like to see the design process and my studio where I work.

As a designer, I find it exciting that many of us are looking to the provenance of the things we buy, taking time to consider the skills and the craft behind the product.

I design interior fabrics from my Dorset studio using the traditional skills I learned over 30 years ago. Learning the basics was the best thing that ever happened. I loved it, and it gave me a good understanding of pattern, pattern repeat and the restraints of design.

I’m proud that my fabrics are printed in Lancashire onto cloth which has been carefully sourced in the UK. The fabrics I use are a linen cotton blend which is beautifully soft and perfect for home furnishings.

Being creative, it’s a joy to see a move back to sewing, home-making and traditional skills. When you make something, it’s truly bespoke and has meaning.

I’m lucky enough to supply some very talented shops, interior designers and curtain makers across the country and they would love to help you create a beautiful interior scheme with my fabrics. They will be able to advise you on measurements, styles, colours, curtain poles, fitting and more, so if you’re not confident with a needle but are looking for something unique and special, please get in touch
